Data & privacy
This page explains, in plain terms, what Clarity Studio does with the files you upload. It is an operational disclosure for the current beta, not a substitute for a formal privacy policy, which should be added before public launch.
What we store
- Your account e-mail and a one-way (Argon2id) hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
- The videos you upload, the processed results, a still poster frame, and technical metadata (resolution, frame rate, duration, codec).
- Job history and a credit ledger (what was charged or refunded and when).
- Session records (a hash of the session token, IP address and browser user agent) and recent login attempts, for security.
Retention
- Uploaded videos and processed results are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload / completion on the Free plan.
- You can delete any job or upload yourself at any time from the studio; files are removed from disk immediately (or as soon as a running job stops).
- Job history entries (without files) and the credit ledger are kept so that usage limits and accounting stay correct.
Access
- Files are never placed in a public directory. Every preview and download is checked against your signed-in account.
- Processing happens on our own server and GPU. Your videos are not sent to third-party AI services and are not used to train models.
- The public beta endpoint currently uses plain HTTP on an IP address. Do not upload confidential material until the service runs on its own domain with HTTPS.
Models
Enhancement uses the open-source Real-ESRGAN models (realesr-general-x4v3, realesr-general-wdn-x4v3, RealESRGAN_x4plus). AI upscaling synthesizes plausible detail; it can alter faces, text and textures. Review results before relying on them.
